This section provides an overview of EU and candidate countries’ exports and re-exports of CITES-listed species in 2011, particularly in direct exports of wild-sourced native species and species traded in high volumes. As in the rest of the analysis, trade in artificially propagated Appendix-II plants, re-exports of manufactured articles and trade reported as seizures/confiscations (source ‘I’) have been excluded.
